Why is phenylethylamine called phenylETHYLamine? I don't see the ethyl group. I thought ethyl was CH3CH2 and I don't see that. You can see the structure here:

Actually, I wanted to call it benzyl-something... Huh

Sigh. This is just the beginning of confusing organic nomenclature.

OK, I know I am being thick-headed here. I've been staring at your very cool! drawing for a while. The ethyl group still looks like CH2CH2 to me, instead of CH2CH3. I don't see the CH3 part... The 2nd carbon in the ethyl part looks like it is connected to both a CH2 group and the NH2 group, making that 2nd carbon CH2. What am I not seeing? (An impossible question, I know.)
