Batrachotoxin (C31 H42 N2 O6) is an active component of South American arrow poison.  This compound is so toxic that 0.05 micro(micro = one -millionth) grams can kill aperson.

a) How many moles of batrachotoxin does this quantity represent?

b) How many molecules of batrachotoxin does this quantity represent?

a) get the formula weight.  Convert micrograms to grams.  Divide your 5.0x10^-8 by the formula weight, and that gives you moles.

b)  Avagadro's Number is the conversion factor used to convert moles to atoms.  6.022x10^23 atoms/mole.
