If a problem gives says that an unknown molecule "A" is linear and the bond length is specified, is that enough to completely describe the shape and size of a molecule?

not sure i follow you here

if it is "linear" then you know it shape....

are you asking to identify a molecule by these observations?

Yes... I'm saying if all you are given are two facts: the molecule is linear and it has a known bond length (which you are not given), is it safe to say that you would be able to describe the size and  shape completely? I realize that linear describes the shape, so does knowing bond length mean that you would know the size of the molecule?
