The question is: A solution of HBr contains 2 g of HBr per litre and has a pH of 2.5. What is the Ka and the PoH?

My chem teacher never taught us this and the exam is in 2 day. How do u find the Ka???

pOH = 14 - 2.5

Ka = [H+]*[Br-]/[HBr]

From the pH you can get [H+] by 10^-2.5.  This is the same concentration as Br- because it is a 1:1 ratio

Convert grams of HBr into moles of HBr to get the denominator. (2/(1.00794+79.9))
