Hey everyone

I just wanted to share a job shadow at a compounding pharmacy I was lucky to experience. We started the morning off by going over the generals: labels, organization methods, etc. This pharmacy did everything from lollipops to suppositories. Unfortunately I didn't spend enough time there to see everything (Borrowed my Mom's car, hoping to go again someday!), but what I got to see was very amazing. I'm currently in pre-pharmacy and this to me was like a whole new perspective on being a Pharmacist. I have worked in a retail based pharmacy that doesn't do many compounds, and I now know that retail will not be the job area for me

I got to make some lollipops..They're OTC, containing no prescription drugs. We melted some hard candies...added some flavors and other things..melted it all together and remolded them...
I guess in a way I'm saying Chemistry is everywhere. It was like I was in my Gen. Chem lab
