1. Predict products for and balance each of the following reactions of basic materials used in antacid tablets.

a. Mg(OH)2(s) + HCl(aq) -> MgCl2(aq) + 2H2O(l)

b. CaCO3(s) + HCl(aq) -> CaCl2(aq) + HCO3(aq)

c. NaHCO3(s) + HCl(aq) -> NaCl(aq) + H2CO3(aq)

d. The following reaction is three times the reaction in part b and one times the reaction in part a.

(CaCO3)3Mg(OH)2(s) + HCl(aq) ->

What on earth is the product of that equation?

Thanks in advance, guys!

Just treat d) as though you were reacting a) and b) with HCl so the products will be MgCl2 and CaCl2 (in 3 times the amount) along with water and H2CO3
