well this is a little more complex than your regular lewis structure. Which chemistry are you in?

This is an organic molecule. I don't have the capability yet of posting a picture in here

It is propanoic acid.

you tried what? if you are talking about the acid, you just need to learn basic organic structures and functional groups. Have ya'll covered that?


For your poll question

You have to count all the valence electrons each atom contributes

S brings 6 and each F brings 7  so that is a total of 48 electrons

put S in the middle and connect each F to it. This will take up 12 electrons (every bond is 2 e's)

You have 36 left.

Place 6 electrons around each F to give each F a full octet (8 electrons)

You will note S has 8 around it and is happy (full octet)

according to VSEPR theory, this is an AX6 molecute , an octahedral and is non polar
