The world record for the hundred meter dash is 9.79 seconds. What is the corresponding average units of m/s, km/h, ft/s, and mi/h?  At this speed, how long would it take to run 1.00x10^2 yards?   ???

You need to convert units here.  I'll do the first one for you; in m/s you have 100m/9.79s which is 10.2m/s.  To convert to km/h you want to figure out how to convert meters into kilometers and seconds into hours.  The same thing goes for feet/second and miles/hour.  Then figure out how long it would take to run 100. yards.
